Chipyard Technologies

ChipYard Technologies is a provider of Application Specific Intellectual Property (ASIP) for digital signal processing. Our semiconductor IP is a family of small application-specific co-processors, each optimized for a limited set of digital signal processing algorithms. The co-processor program (firmware) is provided by ChipYard, so from the user point of view, our IP blocks can be regarded as hardware accelerators.

By moving the digital signal processing part of an application to a co-processor, the host processor can focus on on control tasks and its complexity can be much reduced. This multi processor solution will boost performance due to parallell processing and hardware acceleration while minimizing total hardware cost and power consumtion.
